A 91-year-old woman was injured in an accident in Whalley Road, Accrington, last night.
The pensioner, whose name has not been released by police, was in collision with a Ford Escort as she crossed the road at 5.46pm.
She suffered back and leg injuries, which are not thought to be serious, and was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Police cordoned off the scene for accident investigations but the road was re-opened at 8pm.
Sergeant Keith Jackson, of Accrington road policing unit, said: "Her injuries are not thought to be serious but there is always concern with elderly people, particularly at that age."
