BUDDING poets celebrated World Book Day at Darwen Library with a touch of professional help.
Just Poets, residents at the theatre, were on hand to whisk up tales of heroes and villains through poetry with children from Holy Trinity Primary School.
Norman Warwick and Pam McKee from the group were joined by Phil Smith, author of Straggling Town and The Century Speaks.
Norman said: "The day went very well and the kids were absolutely fantastic and very talented.
"They had a real interest in poetry and that's good to see at such a young age.
"In the afternoon, Phil Smith came along to talk to an adult audience and he was a great speaker. The day went very well for everyone involved."
