REGARDING Donald Jepson's comments on the BNP win in Blackburn last November (Letters, February 25), what everyone is too blind to see is that if the BNP won with 'only' one third or a quarter of the votes, the other political parties combined only pulled in two thirds or three quarters.

The BNP polled more votes than any other political party and that's why they won, whether it was a fantastic turn-out or not.
