THE Bishop of Burnley visited Sainsbury's in Darwen in an effort to keep in touch with people in their workplace.
The Rt Rev John Goddard met workers at the store and dropped in on call centre workers from Capita, at India Mill.
The Rev Kevin Arkell, of St Peter's Church, said: "The meeting was set up so the Bishop could get a feel for the town and get to understand how it works.
"We are concerned about keeping in touch with people in their workplace because God is a God of all our lives and not just our leisure time."
