A 31-year-old man was hit by a bus on a pedestrian crossing in Ainsworth Street in Blackburn town centre around 3pm yesterday.
Sajad Hussain, of Darwen, was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary with minor head injuries and allowed home after treatment.
Sgt Stuart Isherwood said: "It appears the man stepped out on to the crossing and the bus, coming from the Boulevard, collided with him."
One side of Ainsworth Street was closed for around an hour while police examined the scene.
