THE world is holding its breath on the brink of yet another war, the reasons for which, we are told, are as many and varied as there are oil wells in Iraq.

And against any war involving Iraq is the greatest-ever number of people world-wide -- of all nationalities, of all faiths and of none -- and of all political persuasions and without any.

If this drive to war is not stopped, once more, bombs will rain down on Iraq and many innocent people will be killed.

That Prime Minister Tony Blair is blindly and slavishly supporting George Bush and his 'hawks' in their mindless drive to war is to many beyond comprehension. Can it be that he has little or no choice but to support Bush?

Let us fervently hope that by determined opposition to Bush's war-drive we can prevent a senseless war. The danger to us all comes not from Iraq, but from those terrorists whose numbers and activity would be greatly increased if war were forced on Iraq.
