TWO points for Councillor Fred Slater, who wants to ban cycling on the canal towpath (LET, April 15), to ponder:
Many narrow boat owners carry and use cycles for various reasons.
How about a ban on anglers who kill ducks and swans with cast-off line and cause boat stoppage as the line wraps round the propeller and prop shaft?
You see, Councillor, there are the responsible anglers, boat cyclists and tow path cyclists and then there are the irresponsible ones. That's life.
