HOW I do abominate letter writers hiding behind pseudonyms except in the rare cases of 'whistleblowers'.
In this instance it is 'independent thinker', who probably has an ulterior motive. But, whoever it is, he or she is propagating specious nonsense to suggest that by fastening on to themselves the label 'independent', a candidate for the council is necessarily more concerned about the area, or devoted to it than one who carries a party label.
