A LOCAL woman has received a cash scholarship to help her achieve her masters degree.
Anne Dormer (41) of Holly Street, Summerseat, is a specialist heart failure nurse at Oldham Royal Infirmary. She said: "A masters degree will advance my knowledge and directly improve my ability to do my job effectively.
"Nursing is changing all the time so you never stop learning."
Anne, who has been a nurse for more than 20 years, is just finishing the first year of her three-year masters degree course.
This week she received a study grant from health care charity the HSA Fund which encourages healthcare professionals to undertake further education by paying for course fees and assisting with expenses.
