YOUR house could be reverberating to the sound of Roxy music if you decide to help a little black and white cat who's looking for a home. But the only noise produced by Roxy, the people-friendly cat will be the sound of contented purring.

Roxy is currently a resident of Moggies cat rescue charity in Darwen, to where she was brought five weeks ago when her owner couldn't look after her any more.

Although the six-year-old black-and-white cat loves people, she is a little disdainful of her fellow felines and would be best suited to a family without other cats. Maureen Savage, who runs Moggies, said: "Roxy loves to be made a fuss of and she'd be ideal for a family pet. She's absolutely lovely."

Roxy, a semi-long haired cat with a smudge on her nose, is fully inoculated.

Anyone interested in giving Roxy a home should call 01254 708171 between 4.30 and 10pm.

Sadly, last week's mouse with no name is still a mouse with no home. If any members of the public would like to adopt a pet mouse, call the RSPCA shelter, Huncoat, on (01254) 231118.
