YOUR front-page photograph (LET, April 16) tells more than any words could express, the condition and neglect of the back streets in Blackburn and your newspaper has done a great service to the town.
Our councillors would have us believe that we live in some kind of new garden city when, in fact, rubbish is one of the biggest problems the town has.
And, sorry to say, the back street in your photograph would not appear in the top 20 grotty back streets in Blackburn.
