WORLD famous opera singer Russell Watson is being sued by a Preston businessman.

Ian Boasman, who runs Bistro French restaurant, Avenham Street, claims he transformed the singer into a star after spotting him as a cabaret entertainer. But Mr Boasman believes he lost out when the singer signed a deal with record firm Decca, without including his firm Union Music Ltd in the deal. The hearing is expected to begin at the High Court sitting in Manchester, but no date has been set.
