MORE than 500 pupils, staff and guests were evacuated from Stonyhurst College after a blaze in a storage building.
Fire crews were sent at 11.15am yesterday as the pupils were at morning mass.
A police investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze, which severly damaged the storage room.
Communications manager for the college Jonathan Hewitt said: "It was an accidental fire in a remote part of the school grounds and was contained behind fire doors."
