A 42-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with back injuries after a collision.
The accident happened at 5.55pm on Tuesday in Manchester Road, outside the Red Hall Hotel, Shuttleworth.
A Vauxhall Vectra, driven by a 25-year-old Liverpool man was in collision with a Yamaha motorcycle being ridden by Graham Barber, 42, of Ramsbottom.
Mr Barber was taken to Fairfield Hospital, Bury, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anybody with information should contact the traffic department at Bury 0161 856 8075.
