MATT Jansen today set his sights on penning a dramatic ending to the season as he plots his Rovers return at White Hart Lane tomorrow.

The 25-year-old striker has been named in Graeme Souness's squad for the Euro decider with Tottenham in the capital.

And the Ewood favourite admits he has already dreamed about a fairytale ending to a season he desperately wants to forget.

"When I realised I was going to be involved tomorrow I started dreaming about scoring the goal which will take us into Europe," said Jansen.

"But whatever happens, I'll be willing the team on because it would be great for next season if we can get into Europe again.

"I've been told I'm travelling down with the squad for tomorrow's game and I'm really looking forward to it.

"It's what I wanted and hopefully I'll get a run out at some point and do myself justice."

Jansen only returned to Brockhall earlier this week after completing a three month loan spell with Coventry City.

But the coaching staff have already noticed a change in his demeanour compared to when he first left for Highfield Road in the New Year.

"He looks a lot sharper now than he did before he went to Coventry," said assistant boss Tony Parkes.

Jansen may well have to settle for a place on the bench tomorrow but, with Rovers needing a win to stand any chance of pipping Everton to sixth spot, he's likely to see some action at some point during the afternoon.

But simply to be involved at all is an added bonus after an up and down spell in the First Division.

"In hindsight, it wasn't the right thing to do to go to Coventry because the club was struggling financially and I needed to be playing football in a team that was pushing for a promotion spot rather than fighting against relegation," said Jansen.

"But I needed games and I got them and I'm just glad to be back amongst the lads again now.

"I feel 100 per cent within myself now and it's just a question of getting games and getting used to it all again."

Rovers must win at White Hart Lane and hope that Everton fail to beat Manchester United in order to clinch a place in next season's UEFA Cup.

It's a tall order but Jansen believes his team-mates can achieve their goal if they put their minds to it.

"Spurs don't have anything to play for as such whereas we do but it is Teddy Sheringham's last game so I'm sure he'll want to go out on a high.

"So it is going to be a difficult game. They're either fantastic or they don't play so well so hopefully they'll have an off-day, we'll have a good one, and Manchester United will do us a favour.

"But we'll be going there with plenty of confidence in the belief that we can get the result we want."

Rovers boss Graeme Souness is sweating on the fitness of Henning Berg who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.

Rovers will choose from: Friedel, Neill, McEveley, Taylor, Berg, Todd, Flitcroft, Tugay, Dunn, Duff, Cole, Yorke, Sukur, Jansen, Ostenstad, Johansson, Hignett, Mahon, Kelly.

ROVERS are reminding supporters that tomorrow afternoon's kick-off time at White Hart Lane is three o'clock.

The final round of the Premier League fixtures will all commence at three o'clock and not at four as published elsewhere.

Supporters intending to travel are advised to adjust their arrangements accordingly.
