RECENTLY, I visited the newly-refurbished Blackburn Library, with two of my grandchildren. It proved so easy for the children to find out the location of books using the computer system.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The welcoming atmosphere was very different to the forbidding nature of the libraries of my childhood.
Staff and council should be congratulated for a library that is designed for the young and not so young.
