AN Atherton woman is entering the Greater Manchester Run on May 26 in memory of a friend who lost his life to cancer.
Diane Anderton of Millers Lane hopes to raise money to contribute towards funding better care and treatment for cancer sufferers.
She said: "My friend has tragically lost his fight against cancer aged just 36 years, leaving a wife and two children."
The Greater Manchester Run organisers hope to attract 10,000 people who will cover a 10 kilometres course. To find out more log onto www.greatrun.org
