I COULDN'T believe my eyes when I read Mr Lee Richardson's criticism of Darwen people (Letters, May 5).
Yes, we have vandalism, but doesn't every town these days, including Blackburn?
Darwen is a lovely town, has a thriving community and is very friendly. I am not Lancashire born and bred, but I married into a Darwen family and have been very happy here.
