THREE specially adapted minibuses were handed over to north-west special schools by a charity fund-raising organisation this week.
The Lady Taverners invited 300 children with special needs to the pleasure beach to a special day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday. The day was organised by 16-year-old student, Harriet Ingham, as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award. Harriet, whose mother, Janet is a Lady Taverner, has supported The Lady Taverners previously with a sponsored bike ride from Land's End to John O'Groats.
