A SATELLITE learning centre has taken off in Tyldesley.
The training HQ for social services users and carers was opened at Fourways Centre by Geoffrey O'Donoghue, north west director of the Campaign for Learning.
The new facility is one of several planned by Wigan Council to complement the main learning centre at Haigh Hall. Fourways will provide clients on the Leigh side of the borough with access to personal computers, CD-ROM programmes, the information superhighway, TV and videos.
