BLACKBURN Rovers have announced a small increase in season ticket prices ahead of next season.

A standard ticket on the Blackburn End will increase by £1 per game next term to £385 for adults.

However, given the fact there will be an increase in the amount of category A games, that actually works out as a saving when compared to increases in matchday prices.

Chief executive John Williams insists the club are continuing to do everything in their power to make football at Ewood as affordable as possible.

And he has described the overall season ticket package as 'very attractive' when compared with the rest of the top flight.

"I believe we've managed to present a very attractive package of season ticket options this year," said Williams.

"We have the cheapest junior season ticket bar none at this level and we've retained our hugely-popular loyalty scheme.

"While the main season ticket price for 2003-2004 has risen, roughly by £1 per game, the offer still represents great value and actually provides a bigger saving (against match-day prices) than for the 2002-3 campaign."

As well as the special junior rates, the usual concessions for Senior Citizens are retained, together with low entry price points in various parts of the ground (full adult prices from £270).

A discount for senior citizens in the Jack Walker Stand has also been introduced, as have New Home Cup Tickets and Away Season Ticket schemes, which allow season ticket holders to pre-book tickets for such fixtures.

FANS are reminded that the direct debit deadline for season tickets is this Saturday. Existing season ticket holders have until Saturday May 31 to claim their own seat.
