VRATISLAV Gresko's move to Ewood is in danger of collapsing due to a row over pay.

The Slovakian international is currently in dispute with Parma over what he claims are outstanding debts owed to him.

And the 25-year-old has warned the Italian club that he won't rubberstamp a permanent move to Rovers this summer until a settlement can be reached.

Gresko first joined Rovers on loan back in January but manager Graeme Souness has since negotiated a deal with Parma to sign him permanently for £1.5 million this summer.

However, the defender insists he will return to Italy on July 1, regardless of what's been agreed between the two clubs, unless he is paid the £200,000 he claims he is owed in wages and bonuses.

"If Parma haven't evened their debts towards me I will start there (next season)," said Gresko, in an interview with the Slovak daily Sport.

"I am aware of the interest from Blackburn. But, as I said, if the Italians don't even the bills with me I am starting in Parma on July 1st.

"It's not about the sum of money they owe me but the principle that they actually owe me money.

"As far as I know, Parma has more or less agreed a fee with Blackburn but I have not negotiated with anyone yet.

"As long as things are not evened out I will not negotiate with anyone. If Parma eliminates the debt, Blackburn will be the first on the list."

Rovers remain the front-runners for his signature after agreeing a fee but they have yet to settle on personal terms as a result of the dispute.
