WHY all the fuss and condemnation of the British National Party winning council seats in Burnley and Blackburn by the other main political parties and the media?

Members of the BNP are British by birth from several generations of British stock and are more entitled to take part in both local and general elections than any immigrants or asylum seekers.

No fuss or condemnation was ever made about the election of Asian councillors by either the media, the Tory, Labour or Liberal politicians or the indigenous population and rightly so, in a so-called democratic country like Britain.

J PILKINGTON (Mr), Elm Street, Blackburn.
