VINTAGE cars and pop idols are invited to take part in Darwen Lions Gala this year.
The fun-filled day will kick off at 10am on Saturday, June 21 and members of the public are invited to join in the festivities.
Ian Ashton, Lions member and gala organiser, said: "This year we will be having a five-a-side football tournament as well as a musical talent show for two age groups, eight to 12 and 13 to 19."
Budding stars are invited to pick up their entry forms at Darwen Leisure Centre or at the Evening Telegraph office in Bridge Street.
Mr Ashton said: "There really is something for all the family and we are inviting trade and charity stalls to the indoor and outdoor event."

The Lions are looking for new members to help with the organisation of the gala.
The recruits could get involved in attracting charities and stalls to the event.
