AS Councillor Dave Smith (Letters, May 23) is unable to assimilate what he reads, but is intent on trying to score points while being oblivious to the hardship inflicted on pensioner and old soldier Mr Thomas Bywater by a callous council -- the subject of my original letter.
Further correspondence is superfluous.
