WHAT a wonderful facility the Kirklees Trail has become.
I really must congratulate the council on a job well done. The hardcore trail from Greenmount to Woolfold is a tree-lined oasis in the ever-increasing urban landscape.
It is a joy to stroll along with my ever-inquisitive two-year-old son. So imagine my annoyance when confronted by one of the morons on a scrambler bike who are forever riding up and down on a trail not designed for their use. I really must take my hat off to this rider who, when confronted by a little boy, decided to rev his bike and speed towards us.
I understand the police have a "scrambler team" which deals with these Neanderthals. Might I suggest a visit to the Tottington area?
