GREAT! -- an extra £1million to tidy up Blackburn (LET, May 21).
If the council has so much money to suddenly make available, why can't they keep a few pounds back ready for improved gritting this winter?
I know it's slightly out-of-season, but by the time winter comes, it's too late for them to make extra money available.
