A FEMALE motorist from Prestwich had her handbag stolen as she tried to repair her broken down car.
While the 43-year-old worked under the bonnet, the sneak thief grabbed the handbag from the passenger seat.
The incident happened at 3.45pm on Friday (June 6) in Cheetham Hill Road, Cheetham.
PC John Flowers of Bury Police said: "My main piece of advice is for female drivers to keep their handbags hidden from view, whether they are in the car or not."
