A CREATIVE community group is proving that art is a walk in the park.
Atherton's Art for Action Group has created a giant outdoor all-weather mosaic masterpiece which will take pride of place in their estate's newly created beauty spot.
The group which meets at Hag Fold Community Centre is creating the work for the People's Place in the re-vamped Devonshire Road Park.
Facelift
The park is undergoing a major facelift and will include a new play area and spaces for public enjoyment.
Emma Clarke, of the Action Factory which is helping the art group, said: "As well as creating a piece of art for everyone to enjoy we are also trying to instil a sense of pride, ownership and confidence through working with the community on arts projects."
The group, which is open to over 18s from Atherton, meets every Friday at the centre and is keen to welcome new members.
