I AGREE wholeheartedly with Hyndburn MP Greg Pope about not enough people in the North receiving honours (LET, June 5), but I also disagree with people like Mick Jagger and Jeffrey Archer.
Are those getting them really the ones we want as an example to our young people?
Perhaps now people really worthy of awards will be commended with the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's Pride of East Lancashire awards.
What a brilliant idea as some people do such good work for 30 and 40 years and go unrecognised.
