PARENTS fearing for their kids' safety intend to blockade Lancaster's Barton Road on Friday morning in protest about the lack of a crossing patrol.
Lancaster MP Hilton Dawson, who is supporting the action, says there is still hope that the county council will come up with a solution before the weekend.
But he adds: "There is no way the demo plans will be curtailed until the problem is sorted out - there is nothing more important than protecting children."
