STAFF working at care homes in the area are invited to attend a briefing tomorrow in Nelson on the safe moving and handling of residents.
The Moving and Handling Facilitators Seminar will be held at Pendle training, in Netherfield Road, from 11am.
It will provide an overview of a new course that helps staff to produce manual handling policies and carry out risk assessments.
It will also enable them to write manual-handling care plans and implement staff training programmes. Everyone who is involved in staff training can attend free of charge. To register contact Claire Wood on 01282 724200.
