Leigh Centurions 38 Oldham 2: PAUL Terzis and team have long memories.
Using an early season defeat at Oldham as motivation, the Centurions ruthlessly exacted revenge to keep up the pressure on National League One leaders Salford.
Oldham made a determined start and Simon Svabic kicked them into a 2-0 lead with a penalty. But that was as good as it got for Steve Molloy's team.
Neil Turley had already levelled the scores with a penalty when he backed up good work from Bryan Henare and Damian Munro to score his 100th try for the club.
Once in front Leigh never looked back and they extended their lead when Turley kicked a loose ball over the Oldham line and Tommy Martyn won the chase for the touchdown.
Martyn's second try came just 14 minutes later when he took Turley's perfect pass to glide in and round to the posts for a 20-2 interval lead.
The real gamebreaker came midway through the second half when Munro plucked Gareth Barber's bomb out of the air on his own line before sprinting 90 metres for his 27 of a productive season.
Sub John Duffy breezed through for another try and Pat Weisner rounded things off by getting on the end of another stunning Leigh crossfield move to give Turley his seventh success from eight shots.
