FUNDRAISERS at Asda helped boost funds for Pendleside Hospice with a fun day.
About£1,000 was raised at the Colne store after firefighters gave a display, police carried out phone marking sessions, and a mini-fun fair added to the attractions.
Youngsters had their faces painted and got involved with balloon modelling.
Brenda Hartley who helped organise the event alongside Maxine Thompson and Tony Collins, said: "We raised about £700 through the events and around £300 through a collection in the store. It was so successful that we are planning another event in October."
