I DO not think Tom Cunningham's story about having his A-level results withheld (LET, August 6) by Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Blackburn because his final term fees had not been paid was front page material.
Special financial provision made for an individual case, regardless of circumstances, circumvents fairness and equality of treatment to which all QEGS students are entitled.
It is obvious that this is a clear-cut case of contractual dispute: a private matter for the school and student involved. The school's position is clearly vindicated.
