THE key stats and moments from the game against Chesterfield.
BURNLEY
JENSEN - Big Dane dug deep to make the difference in the shoot-out after looking far more assured in goal than Saturday's below-par show 8
ROCHE - Solid as a rock. His blistering pace got Burnley out of trouble more than once in his best performance so far in a claret shirt 8
CAMARA - Confident in both defensive and attacking duties and always looking to help out Alan Moore down the left 7
BRANCH - Much improved from last weekend and was only caught cold once by Glynn Hurst's penetrating run at the heart of the back line 7
GNOHERE - Meaty performance from the Frenchman, who also looked more like his old self to keep Hurst and David Reeves at arms length 8
CHADWICK - Not the Manchester United winger's night, although he exerted more of an influence as game wore on. Blotted his copybook with a bad miss 6
WELLER - Steadying influence in central midfield and always eager to keep the ball moving to his more attack-minded colleagues 7
GRANT - Quiet return to the midfield engine room, but almost sealed the victory with a stunning long-ranger that smacked the bar 6
A MOORE - Another who never really stamped his mark on the game and was withdrawn in extra time for Chaplow's fresh legs 6
LITTLE - Positive display from the trickster. Only he knows how he did not score the crucial goal in normal time 8
BLAKE - Tireless front-runner who never shied from the action and went hunting for the ball during quiet attacking periods. One terrible miss in extra time and a poor penalty were his only bad touches all night. STAR MAN 9
