GOLBORNE piled on the runs as they finally beat Little Hulton by 59 runs.

Dale Tyrer and Keiron Crompton gave Golborne a flying start, putting on 58 for the first wicket. Pro Brad Roach carried on the good work before losing Tyrer for 40. Cooke and Roach soon settled and added a magnificent 106 before Roach went for 73 of just 84 balls.

Skipper Graham Marston and Cooke kept up the momentum as the innings closed on 250-3.

Little Hulton's reply started badly with both openers and pro Mahmood all dismissed by Greenwood with just 27 on the board.

Penny, Hutchinson and Edwards got Little Hulton back on track and up with the run rate but when Ian Ross struck twice, the balance was back in Golborne's favour. They were eventually all out for 191 with Greenwood taking 4-57 and Ross 3-50.
