VALE of Lune RUFC, facing a new challenge in North League One, upped the tempo of their pre-season programme when they hosted a talented Sale Jets squad at Powderhouse Lane.
In a public training session, both squads completed a series of set plays under the eagle eyes of the respective coaches.
And the evening ended with a rousing 40-minute game that provided valuable information for the Vale's coaching staff.
Before the Vale tackle Morley at home on September 6 in their opening North One fixture, two further warm up games have been arranged at Preston Grass-hoppers on August 19 followed by a home game against Macclesfield on August 23.
