INFANTS will benefit from a £2m lottery jackpot to provide new nurseries.
Two community groups in Hindsford and Tyldesley have won grants to create a total of 86 new places.
Hindsford Community Link Ltd has been awarded £125,000 for a new nursery in the ward and the Shakerley Community Partnership will receive £102,000 to cater for 40 childen in a new purpose built nursery at Shakerley Primary School. Twenty five of these places will be funded by the Neighbourhood Nurseries Initiative.
