A 23-YEAR-OLD Blackburn man screamed racist abuse at police investigating a report of fighting in the street, a court was told.
But Jonathan Jackson, defending, told Blackburn magistrates that after Irfan Desai took offence at the police involvement the incident declined into something resembling a Monty Python sketch.
"It ended in a situation where we had two fully equipped police officers and a man with his hands cuffed behind his back shouting at them; "Come on, I'll do you," said Mr Jackson.
Desai, 23, of Dunsop Street, pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated threatening behaviour and resisting a police officer. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and fined £100 with £25 compensation to the police officer and £55 costs.
