GET ready for a showcase of comedy acts as Preston's Stand and Deliver club opens its doors for the new season next month.
Funnyman Brendon Burns kicks off the line-up of talent billed to appear at the University of Central Lancashire club, near the Students' Union building, in Fylde Road.
Brendon, a noisy, manic, Australian bad boy, has stormed audiences around the world for more than a decade with his electric presence and provocative material.
He uses a confrontational and upfront style of comedy to capture the audience with a proverbial slap in the face, continually throwing-up questions, both of himself and of the audience on subjects most comedians would shy away from.
Brendon has been compared to such legends as Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Sam Kinison and Bill Hicks.
This year has proved to be a great year for Brendon with his second sell-out West End run at the Soho Theatre and his third sold-out run at the Edinburgh festival.
He will be appearing at the Preston club on Friday, September 26, supported by Rhys Darby and Geoff Norcott, hosted by Darrel Martin.
Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 in advance and £5 (NUS). For bookings call 01772 894861 or in person from the Students' Union reception.
