CHILDREN from across Blackpool enjoyed a day of fun in the summer sun last week as part of National Playday.
The day of fun at Stanley Park arena was free and featured a range of activities, including family games, circus skills, forest skills and sports.
Joel Lavery, of Blackpool Borough Council's Leisure Services, said: "We are encouraging parents to let their children get out and play so they can develop their physical and social skills -- and enjoy themselves."
The event in was funded through 'Better Play', a partnership between Barnardo's, and the Children's Play Couwsncil, with lottery 'good causes' funding from the New Opportunities Fund.
