GREG Strong makes his home debut tomorrow -- and the big central defender says he is loving every minute of his time at Gigg Lane, writes PHIL THORP.

Injuries scuppered his chances of a regular place at Hull City last season and he jumped at the chance to get regular first team football with the Shakers, albeit initially on a two-month loan deal.

The 28-year-old Lancastrian has done well in his first two appearances in a Shakers shirt and is looking to get a first victory under his belt tomorrow afternoon.

"It's been good to get back playing football again," he declared.

"I did a lot of work on my fitness in the summer, because of my situation at Hull , I missed out on a lot of games.

"But I feel like I am getting fitter with each match. I'm here at Bury for two months and it's a great chance for first team football.

"I think 'Swaz' (Danny Swailes) and I compliment each other at the back. He's a good player and we've quickly developed an understanding.

"The lads were really disappointed after the Tranmere game. It's always disappointing to lose in the last minute, but there are positives to take out of it.

"It's so important to get that first result and, hopefully, that will be against Scunthorpe tomorrow."
