AN exhibition of art and oral history celebrating willow work is to be held at an award-winning Clitheroe gallery.
Drawings, paintings and recorded voices will capture the lives of Somerset willow farmers at the Platform Gallery.
The exhibition will outline the traditional boiling and stripping of willow, and how it is worked into baskets, coffins, thatching spars, cricket bats and sculptures.
More than 40 paintings and drawings will be exhibited alongside the voices of 30 willow-growers.
The exhibition, called Willow, runs from the Station Road gallery from September 19 to November 1.
