DRAG racing bikes will feature at a fun day in Culcheth this Saturday to raise funds for a community centre.
Culcheth speed demon Pete Williams, once the third fastest straightliner in Europe, will have his two dragster bikes on display at the Mee Brow Community Centre -- which relies on charitable donations to survive.
Activities planned at the Churchill Avenue centre include face and mask painting, a table top sale, games, and a display by Mee Brow Youth Club. The fun day will run from 12.00pm - 4.00pm.
Pete, who lives on the Mee Brow Estate and is an active member of the Community Centre, said: "We want to raise funds and awareness for the Community Centre, so I will be bringing a couple of my dragster motorbikes along to the fun day. It will be something different for people and I hope it will help to generate interest and funds."
