GOLBORNE CC picked up back-to-back wins over Blackrod and Darcy Lever at the weekend.
They started with a 67 run victory over Blackrod and then set up a 109 run success over Darcy Lever.
Against Blackrod, Golborne were in some trouble at 62-4 when Brad Roach was dismissed for 27 but a fine partnership between Barry Greenwood (26) and Dale Tyrer (50) helped them post a score of 158-8.
Father and son Tony ands Barry Greenwood then proceded to destroy the Blackrod line-up with a fine spell of bowling.
Blackrod were all out for 91 with Tony Greenwood finishing with 6-51 and Barry 2-20.
The following day Tyrer was again in good form, quickly racing to 40. Roach (36), Keiron Crompton (64), Iain Ross (34) and Ian Seddon (15 no) kept up the good work as Golborne made 212-7.
Ross and Marston did the damage with the ball as Darcy were shout out for 103. Ross had 6-24 and Marston 3-12.
