Having achieved the grades for university or college, you have to think about money!
Further education will, of course, need financing -- so here's what to do to make sure you get all the money to which you are entitled.
First, you should apply to your local education authority -- either, for a form to apply for help with fees, a student loan and, if you qualify, supplementary grants.
Alternatively, you can complete the online form which is available on the Department for Education and Skills' website. Key in www.dfes.gov.uk /studentsupport, fill it in and send it to your LEA.
If you're planning to go to university or college this autumn, you should contact the LEA now.
Discretionary bursaries and hardship funds are available from universities and colleges and you should eventually apply direct to them for this help if you think you might qualify.
