Two Accrington and Rossendale students achieved 100% in several modules surpassing the A-level grades they needed to get into university.
Zara Hussein (pictured near left) from Accrington needed two Grade Bs and a Grade C to get a place reading Law at Manchester Metropolitan University. She exceeded the requirements and got Grades A, B and C.
Shabana Latif, also 18, from Accrington needed three Bs for her place on a Computing Science course at UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology) and was thrilled to gain two Grade As and a Grade B. After opening her A-Level results at the Sandy Lane Centre she beamed, "I've got just one word. "Unbelievable."
Donna Caley who taught both students for A-Level Law said, "They both worked extremely hard, gained excellent results and earned their place at their chosen Universities."
