EXTROVERT entertainer Frank Bollard was stunned when he was invited to appear in Channel 5's The Wright Stuff chat show audience.

Researchers found him on a friend's internet site in Tenerife and he agreed to take part.

On the back of the newly-released film "Calendar Girls" -- about the WI who stripped for charity -- the show was discussing whether older people should show more or cover up.

Frank, of Bright Street, Leigh, who couldn't be missed in his bright orange shirt, was selected because getting his kit off had played a minor part in his act for over 20 years.

However at 58 he admitted that two years ago demand for his services had drooped off!

There's nothing nice about the older body being revealed in public unless it's been kept in tip top shape. I look in the mirror every morning and think what used to be.

But then like millions of others who enjoyed a great young life, I decided to accept middle age, with its wrinkles and sags gracefully, and throw the bikinis away. I for one am staying covered.

There's nothing more off putting than seeing topless old ladies on a beach.
