Ancient superstitions clash with modern life at Darwen Library Theatre on Friday 19 September as Rani Moorthy, host of Radio 2 Pause for Thought and guest presenter of BBC1 Heaven and Earth, performs Pooja, her acclaimed comic drama about a woman who defies her stars.
A mistimed birth. A miscalculated horoscope. Since everything in this Indian woman's life depends on the stars, there is drama, hysteria and comedy everywhere.
After playing to full houses in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2002), Pooja undertook a sell out tour of Sri Lanka (2003) for the British Council.
Tickets are priced at £7 (£5 concessions) and for further information call the Blackburn Box Office 01254 706006.
